While seeking guidance, I am unable to move forward in my current state.

Arjuna, after seeking teachings as a disciple, once again told Govinda, "I will not fight," and then remained silent. He said he wanted to be taught, but before hearing the answer, he stated his own conclusion.

It may seem contradictory, but it is a natural state for a person who is deeply lost. I want you to show me the right path. However, in my current emotional state, I cannot move forward. It was only when Arjuna exhausted all his words and fell silent that Krishna could begin teaching earnestly. This marks a shift from continuing one's own arguments to entering a time for receiving answers.

एवमुक्त्वा हृषीकेशं गुडाकेशः परन्तप ।
न योत्स्य इति गोविन्दमुक्त्वा तूष्णीं बभूव ह ॥ ९ ॥

Romanization

sañjaya uvāca
evam uktvā hṛṣīkeśaṃ guḍākeśaḥ parantapa |
na yotsya iti govindam uktvā tūṣṇīṃ babhūva ha || 9 ||

Sanjaya said: "After speaking to Shri Krishna in this manner, Arjuna again told Govinda, 'I will not fight,' and he fell silent." (9)

In this section, Sanjaya tells Dhritarashtra that Arjuna, as mentioned before, primarily sought guidance and teachings, prayed for instruction, and expressed his feelings of being burdened and troubled. Then, he clearly stated that he would not fight, and afterwards, he fell silent.

Shri Krishna is called "Govinda." This name originates from the idea that the truth about God is known through the words of the Vedas. The Bhagavad Gita also states, "Whatever actions are to be done in the four Vedas, they all declare Me alone." (Chapter 15, verse 15)
